The Court flatly rejected Microsoft's arguments today that the jury should consider the meaning of the term "windows" in its current day usage, ruling rather that the jury should focus on the timeframe prior to the release of Microsoft's Windows products, which is 1983 -1985. The Court also ruled that once a word is declared generic it would continue to be generic, informing Microsoft that no amount of marketing around a generic word changes the generic state of the word.

Once executed, after the EULA is accepted, the tool automatically checks for infection and removes the worm(s) if found. If a machine is infected with MyDoom.B, the tool will also provide the user with the default version of the "hosts" file and set the "read-only" attribute for that file. This action will allow the user to visit previously-blocked Microsoft and antivirus websites.

Detect or remove any viruses or worms other than MyDoom.A, MyDoom.B, and DoomJuice.A
Detect or remove future variants of MyDoom or DoomJuice.
